Fragment from The Color of Imagination
"Yellow: I am the sun that shines all day.
Come where it's warm and play!
My rays help the green grass soar.
Here comes the grass to tell you more.
Green: I am the green grass that covers the earth.
Animals run through me filled with mirth.
You can find me almost everywhere.
Here comes a brown tree who has something to share.
Brown: I'm a brown tree that grows so high,
With my arms open wide, I touch the sky.
When the winds blows, I dance and I sway.
Here comes a royal mountain with much to say.
Purple: I'm the royal mountain everyone looks up to.
In summer my waters run blue.
In winter, my waters turn ice white.
Here comes the white snow so silent and polite."

"Newspaperboy: Read all about it! Read all about it! The end of school is coming!
Child 1: Is it really the end of school?
Child 2: How will school end? We have one more week left.
Newspaperboy: Take a paper and find out.
Alien 1: (enters with Alien 2) Greeting earthlings.
Alien 2: We have come to end your school year.
Child 1: How will you end it?
Child 2: Will you make the school go away?
Newspaperboy: Read all about it! Read all about it! Aliens land to end school year!
Alien 1: Once we have done our job, there will be no more school.
Child 1: Never ever?
Alien 2: Isn't that what most kids want?
Child 1: Not me! I love school.
Child 2: Does that mean we can't do arts and crafts anymore?
Child 1: No more doing reading and math?
Teacher: (running onto the stage) Hey, what's going on here?
Newspaperboy: The aliens have come to end the school year.
Teacher: And how are you going to do that?
Alien 1: We will take all the children away to a fun place.
Alien 2: A place where we all can play and sing all day long.
Teacher: Hey, don't I know you two?"
